“It takes a long time to become young.”  Pablo Picasso

Today is my 75th birthday.  No, I’m not really sure how that happened.  Blessedly, I’m in rather good health and still have all my original parts.  My kids have their fingers crossed on that one.

On one of my better days

What is the secret to a long life?

Don’t die.  I really can’t think of anything else that would account for living a long time.

Do you have any regrets?

Yes, but I won’t give names.

Do you have some favorite memories?

Yes, but I won’t give names.

What are your goals for the future?

I’m going to dress like a gypsy and travel more.  Because I’ve done so little travel in my life, this will be easy.

What’s had the biggest impact on your life?

My children.  They’re brilliant and inspirational.  Every one of them.

What changes have you made to make life easier?

Getting “stuff” out of my life, especially advice.  I want to be inspired, not advised.

What do you want for your birthday?

A grilled ham and cheese with sweet potato fries.  Birthday cake with the family.  Maybe a few buffalo chicken wings.  That should do it!

  1. Happy happy day to you my dear, sweet, sassy, saucy friend. And yes elephants do live near 75 years! I checked to verify. That our paths crossed is a thing that I treasure.

    Love and happiness,
