SWEET AND SPICY MEATBALLS

“Money can’t buy happiness.  Luckily, there are meatballs.”

Funny things happen when I clean out nooks and crannies.  Sometimes I find money.  Sometimes I find clothes that seem like a great beginning to a new outfit combination.  And sometimes I find recipes!  This is one of those recipes that was between the pages of a book that I hadn’t looked at in a number of years.

INGREDIENTS:

15 oz can of unsalted tomato sauce

24 ounce bag of frozen, fully cooked meatballs

1 jar cranberry jalapeno jelly

DISTRUCTIONS:

Put everything into a saucepan and cook on high until boiling.  Stir and reduce the heat.

Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes or until the meatballs are heated through.  I have a feeling that any jalapeño jelly will work nicely.  Will be fun to research that project!

If you’ve been paying attention to side dish recipes you should have no trouble putting a party together.  If you’re too uninterested in effort, for one reason or another, put out a few blocks of cheese with some crackers, a store-bought veggie tray, a bowl of potato chips, and a cake that will have them begging for the recipe.

My favorite recipe for a successful dessert is to buy a cake at Whole Foods.  The flourless chocolate is amazing!  If you want to trip out on gluten once in  a while, any of their cakes will take the edge off the guilt.  Love them!
