“I wish I were the size I was the first time I thought I was fat.”
The other day my granddaughter, Miah, was at the house with her mom, Lori. Some of you already know that it’s Miah’s intention to make grandma, me, computer literate when it comes to this blog. I’m moving ahead, slowly but surely. Miah is a patient genius.
But before we got started I shared a 3D sound clip with daughter and granddaughter, got out some magazines for my daughter to browse, and got out the kalimba for my daughter to enjoy. It’s so important to keep the kids busy. My daughter, all on her own, amused herself but writing an entry in the Bathroom Guest Book. If you don’t have a Bathroom Guest Book you really ought to get one.
I also offered to make lunch. For those of you who haven’t guessed it yet, I’m really quite lazy in the kitchen. I’m also concerned that I provide guests (yes, family are guests) with something nice to eat. Time for a buffet.
I put out the usual suspects, like lettuce with an oil and vinegar dressing that I shook up in a jar. Then I added chicken strips, sweet potato cubes, and broccoli. Then I put out some refried beans along with salsa, cheese. guacamole, and some corn chips. That way guests can go either way – salad with veggies and chicken or a southwestern lunch.
This is my plate. I had everything!
Remember, it’s all about color and variety. And it’s all about choices. That way your guests can choose what they love and love what they choose. That almost sounds like a saying, or like I need another cup of coffee.
