“Seek and you shall find.”
I’m a fan of quick, healthy snacks. Unfortunately, I have trouble finding snacks that live up to my “high” standards. In a nutshell, my standards include something quick, easy, delicious, and with a low guilt factor. Enter the bargain store.

These little darlings are simply fruit and chia seeds. Chia seeds are those magic seeds that have so many health benefits that people run out and purchase a pound or two and then ask themselves, “What am I supposed to do with these things? Mother never put chia seeds in our mac and cheese!”
Well, this conundrum is solved because the chia seeds are in these bars and ready to eat. The other ingredients are fruit. Nothing else. Each bar is equal to two servings of fruit, which fits in beautifully as a snack with my myfitnesspal.com program. Win, win!
Also, while recently visiting with my daughter and granddaughter, they revealed their issues with low blood sugar that sometimes messes with their thought processes and energy levels. These bars are a perfect solution to low blood sugar and they fit easily into a purse. Better yet, they thought the bars were tasty.
I dashed back to the store and purchased the last four boxes so I could share with them. I’m still the mom. I’m still feeding them!
