“There are only two options. Make progress or make excuses.”
For months I’ve had one of my mirror pieces unfinished and languishing against a wall. The colors and the pattern just were’t coming together. Not something I could see. Rather, it was something I could feel. Then New York happened. See blog post from October 26th.
I got out the half finished piece and drew a few more lines, added a few more shades of blues and greens, and outlined the areas with a gold felt-tipped pen. Then I pasted the mirror in the space I’d allowed for the mirror. Sometimes my logic simply astounds me!
Notice how different parts of the design glow as the sun moves across the room and lights up the different areas. Not! I just couldn’t get a clear, head on shot, so I made up that statement.
In the mirror you can see a reflection of part of a door frame and the teal color that was recently added to two of the walls in my office. The teal matches some of the panels in the curtains that festoon the windows. Love festooning!
Sometime it’s OK to walk away for a while. But I’m learning to come back and take another look and make another attempt. Works for me!
