“Im so full I can’t eat another bite…. Are those brownies?”
Found this recipe on cooks.com, but it didn’t have any chocolate chips in it. However, I found a bag of toffee chocolate pieces on sale! I bet you already know.
I love this recipe because it’s pretty near a “dump everything into the bowl”. Also, it’s a “no need to frost” recipe. Let’s see how this turns out!
1 stick butter, melted
1 cup sugar
3 T cacao powder
1 t vanilla
3/4 cup flour, or gluten free flour blend
1/4 cup, more or less, toffee chocolate bits
nuts if you must
chocolate chips if they’re handy
Mix sugar and cacao, in mixer on lowest speed. Keep the mixer going while you add the eggs and vanilla.
The original recipe says something about doing this by hand. Not! Add the flour and butter. Sprinkle in the chocolate toffee bits, nuts if you must, and a few chocolate chips if they’re handy.
Pour into an 8×8 buttered or sprayed pan. Bake for about 30 minutes in the oven that you’ve pre-heated to 350 degrees.
I did forgo the nuts and chocolate chips. Am I a model of temperance or what!
Right out of the oven and looking good!
