“You are never to old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” C S Lewis
A job that I had for 20 years ended in September of 2016. It was time to retire from the work force. However, being the active person that I am (It’s my story!) I mentally lined up things I might do to fill my time in ways that I’d actually enjoy. One of my daughter-in-laws stepped in and said, “You should write.”
In the past I did write a weekly humor column for a local paper. This went on for about 10 years. I did have a degree in creative writing, which is a sure fire way to land a waitressing job. And I do love to write. And so I began this blog. I set a goal to post every day of 2017.
My daughter, Lori, stepped in with her creative skills to fashion the food faces you see at the top of my posts. Her daughter, Miah, helped with the faces, but also brought technical ability and patiently explained things until grandma got it! I am blessed.
Where do I go from here? Forward. My goal is to continue this blog because I enjoy writing, I’m opinionated, and it keeps me off the streets. Let’s see what the New Year brings.
