“Nothing surpasses the ordinary.” Gary Murphy
Last summer, a gaggle of family members gathered at my daughter’s home for food and conversational catch up. Winter is a great time to reminisce about such events and remind ourselves that summer is right around the corner. Please!
One of the highlights of the day was the amazing food made by my amazing and favorite son-in-law, Scott. Note – Scott is my only son-in-law, which automatically makes him my favorite son-in-law.
For lunch Scott used a recipe from America’s Test Kitchen and made pizza on the grill. I would highly recommend that you cultivate friends who are willing to undertake such an endeavor. The process is time consuming. The results are amazing.
Of course, that picture is not the actual pizza. I was too busy getting my share to photograph during the event. The above picture is a reasonable facsimile. Dear Scott, after slaving over the grille, got just a bite or two. The gaggle got the rest.
I once read that a good way to judge a person is to see how they behave while playing board or card games. That should tell you a lot about their character. I’m changing that. See if the person is willing to make grilled pizza for you. We are one lucky and happy bunch to have such a family member!
