“What would you like to do?” Annoying relationship question
Last Sunday I watched the Oscars. That’s something I usually don’t do, but this year I’d seen almost all the nominated movies and had my favorites that I wanted to cheer for. Yes, I was correct on a number of my guesses. Two points for me!
The other point I’d like to make about the movies I’d seen is that I saw most of them alone. Seems that this retirement gig has me questioning what I’d really like to do with my time. Seeing movies on the big screen is one of those things. Because my husband works weekdays and movie theaters sometimes have discounts for the “mature” generation on weekdays, I indulge, most often alone. Love it!
Have you experienced those reclining seats?
I no longer plod through the discussion of “What would you like to do?” Rather, this is a question I most often ask myself, rather than jump on the merry-go-round of decision making with another person. Yes, Sweetie and I have seen of few movies together if it’s something we’d both vote for when he’s home.
So, as Mary Oliver asks, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Good question, Mary!
