“Every emotion you experience is a direct response to a thought, not to the world around you.”
I know the danger of using the word, god, in a heading. There are so many variations and interpretations of this word. My favorite interpretation of the word, god, is Love. Rest easy with your own interpretation and don’t start making a fuss. Thank you.
Now to get to the point of this post. I have a friend, which may surprise some of you, who is a combination life coach and psychic. (How does she do that?!) One of her suggestions for working through stress is a God Box.
A God Box is any container with a lid. Yes, it could be a God Jar. The container allows you to seek help/put aside/release whatever is distressing in your life. And here’s how it works.
Whenever there’s an issue that is taking up too much head space and energy that could be used for something more productive, write the issue on a piece of paper and place the paper into your God Box. This is my God Box.
I found this little darling in a gift shop. However, any container, even a homemade creation, will do. The idea is to find somewhere to place your concerns.
And then I reflect. I ask myself about my big concern of last year or last month or even last week. Most of them aren’t even a blip on my life screen anymore. Yes, some hang around. But a God/Love Box is a nice way to remind myself that I’m not alone.
A God Box could be a nice gift for almost any occasion. It would make a nice set with a Gratitude Rock. You’re welcome.
