Well, I’ve recently entertained you with information about my quest to quit coffee. The first two days I slept. I napped all day and went to bed early. At this point my husband was not aware of my quest. However, he comes home late from work and I’m oftentimes in bed by the time he gets home. Also, we have an automatic feeder for the cats. My life could be one glorious long nap!
However, that’s not my goal for my life but that’s what my life was becoming on coffee. My intake kept increasing but my energy level and alertness didn’t seem to respond to this magic elixir any more. I kept needing more.
Yes, I’ve gone off of coffee before, and knew what I was in for. In the past it’s been a day or two of headaches. This time my addiction was at an all time high. It’s now day 6, and finally, my first headache free day. Still waiting for a miraculous energy level to kick in.
Want to try this way of living? Probably not, but if you do … Start at a time when you can take care of yourself and maybe sleep away a few days. A few low dose aspirin was all I needed to take the edge off. Use whatever you need. Drink lots of water. And finally, look forward to a newer you, getting up bright eyed and ready for the day.
This could be the start of something big!
