ART DAY WITH GRANDMA PAT

“No one who gave their best ever regretted it.”

Well, this week I’m having company (family visiting) so I decided to write a bit about this family of mine.  These are some of the other recent groups that visited.  Maybe you’ll see why I love every minute of every get together.

One recent get together happened last weekend when granddaughter, Miah

brought some friends and her mother (my daughter) to my house for an art/play day.  Participants, besides Miah included

Lori, thoughtfully considering squares of color, Anisa, working with a gel pad, and Carol, memorializing the day with a cartoon rendition.

I’m the wise woman on the left pontificating about trivia.  I’m also the proud owner of the first of Carol’s cartoons!

The non-cartoon version of my visitors.

It is a day to play and to learn from each other.  I learned how to make prints from melty crayons.  I learned that the most simple items can become art supplies.  Did you ever print using a block of plastic?  Created by Lori –

For the art/play day I provide various usual and unusual supplies, a place to play, and lunch with the assist from daughter, Lori, who brought a fantastic fruit creation.  The other thing I do is gather memories and feel the gratitude that comes from having such amazing women in my life.  Life is good!
