“Like vines, people also need a tree to cling to, to give them support.” Elizabeth Kata
Wrong! That’s the trouble with society. (Oh, she thinks she’s got this figured out!) We read something and we start looking for a tree to support us. Nothing against trees, mind you. (Where was I going with this?)
So my daughter asked the last time she visited, “So what kind of funeral do you want?” Wait, no. That was a visit a few years ago, which led me to think I should have been more faithful to a skin care routine.
This time she asked how I’d attached that vine to the wall.
Truth be told, it attached itself. Now, when we sell the house, we’ll probably have to sell the plant with it.
Another truth – because that vine does not go on the Internet it didn’t know that it was supposed to lay low unless there was a tree to climb on, or, on which to climb.
We are the results of the story that we tell ourselves. Beliefs, therefore, are nothing more than thoughts I keep thinking. Time to stop looking for a tree.
Grandma, are you smoking something?
