DRYER BALLS

“I always arrive late at the office but make up for it by leaving early.”  Charles Lamb

Couldn’t find a quote worthy of lambs.  The one above will have to do.

On a recent shopping trip with a friend we had to kill some time and decided that the best way to do that was to purchase two pints of ice cream and make good resolutions.

During our sojourn through the store we passed some packages that contained sets of fuzzy, white balls.  “I use those,” my friend said. “They’re made out of wool, which contains lanolin.”  I asked her what she uses them for.  “You put them into your dryer instead of dryer sheets and they keep your clothes soft and static free.”

Seems these balls are a natural way to softer laundry and supposedly help your clothes dry faster and you’ll lose 5 to 7 pounds the first week.  Wait, I was under the influence.

I bought 2 packages of 2 each.  That’s four.  I’ve always been good at math.  They last from 2 to 5 years.  A bargain, indeed.  They bounce around in the dryer and make a thudding sound.

They’re also good if you want to learn how to juggle because you won’t give yourself a concussion if, initially, you’re a klutz.

Life is good.
