ITALIAN BISCUITS

“It’s better to be weird than to be ordinary.”

Looking for that little something to spark up an ordinary meal?  Have I got a deal for you!  And it starts with refrigerator biscuits that are paired with some of that amazing pasta sauce that you’ve got in your freezer.  You did try that pasta sauce recipe, didn’t you?

INGREDIENTS:

refrigerator biscuits

pasta sauce

grated cheddar

minced onion, optional

DISTRUCTIONS:

Place the biscuits into a pan, ready for baking.  Do remember to preheat the oven.  You can do the preheating while you decide what to serve with your biscuits.

Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of pasta sauce on top of each biscuit.  Sprinkle on some grated cheddar.  Add the minced onion if you’re going there.

Bake the biscuits according to package directions.

OK.  So I decided to bake the biscuits in a muffin pan designed for large muffins as I bought the large biscuits.  A brilliant idea, Grandma Pat!  Full disclosure.  I liked them best after they cooled to room temperature.

I served these with sausages and baked beans.  We’re having pumpkin custard mid-afternoon before a light dinner.  Go Pack!
