“If you want to be happy, be grateful.”

The above quote is from a song.  It goes on to speak of kindness and love and other things that don’t always seem appealing, especially when I use a magnifying mirror to look at my face.

So if any of you are also, on occasion, having trouble with this gratitude things, I thought I’d run through a few of the things on my gratitude list that might resonate with you.

I’m grateful for my family and friends who are there for me.

I’m grateful for my large family.  Yes, there are a lot of us and I’m grateful that we respect differences.

I’m grateful that my husband buys things in bulk so I won’t run out of bathroom tissue during a blizzard.

You get the idea.  The need for fame, fortune and power?  People eventually get over that or they don’t.  I’m grateful for the people who do.
