SCREEN TIME

“Fear is a manipulative emotion that can trick us into living a boring life.”  Donald Miller

The other day I got a notice on my phone.  It felt the urge to tell/warn me that the previous week my screen time was down 67%.  I was off the screen an average of 1 hour and 1 minute less per day.  Horror!  If you’re interested to know how much screen time I was invested in previously, feel free to do the math.

Note well, however, that this was only screen time on my phone.  My laptop is not getting that kind of neglect as I use my laptop in my art studio to listen to happy and motivating YouTube offerings while I play/paint/create.

My social standing is plummeting as I still eschew social media.  If you’ve had a baby or your child/grandchild has done something earth shattering, and it’s something you want the world to know (this would exclude jail time) I won’t be in on it if it’s posted on social media.  You’ll have to be a little more social to include me in the mix.

I’d like to blather on and try to inspire you to join me in removing yourself from vicarious living, but I have a fun, evolving piece in my art studio that’s calling to me. It’s a great day to play!
